Product Information
The IP Seal – Customs Seal is certified to ISO PAS 17712:2013/C-TPAT and has been tested and approved by the German Customs Authority as a ‘seal of a special type.’ This high-security bolt seal secures sea containers, box trucks, railcars, and other transport containers while offering the benefits of simplified customs transit procedures for authorized consignors with a unique coding number.
Passing the German Customs Authority’s stringent standards and tests confirms this seal’s exceptional quality and resistance to tampering.
The seal features a bolt and locking chamber made of plastic-coated steel. When the 11 mm diameter bolt is pushed into the locking chamber, it securely snaps shut, and the molded plastic components interlock, activating the Anti-Spin Safety (ASS) mechanism for tamper resistance.
The bolt and locking chamber are connected by a plastic link and must be detached before application. Removal requires bolt cutters. For added security, both components are marked with the same prefix and 6-digit consecutive number, and the locking chamber is also marked with the consignor’s code number.
The IP Seal is also as a standard version available.
